The restoration of Balch Hall for Scripps College revitalized this 1929 building, including its large performance hall and accompanying gardens. As the main structure in the historic core of the Scripps College Campus, Balch Hall forms the center of one of the most beautiful campuses in America. In prior years, the Hall was primarily used as an administrative building, but this most recent renovation allowed for new multi-use rooms, a library, and a dining room.
The project completed a total internal and external restoration of the turn of the century music hall, including new acoustics, sound systems, and seating restoration. All of these brought the standards up to accommodate ADA requirements.
